My dear partner, Seasons Warner, and I, have begun teaching Birth Assistant and Advanced Student Midwifery classes to potential midwives and we’d love for you to join us!

Our next session starts on August 20th, 2019 and ends on November 12th, 2019.

Upon completion of these classes, you’ll be eligible for a Birth Assistant Certificate. If you are learning about these classes AFTER classes have begun, DON’T WORRY, we teach a new session every six months.

In all cultures, the midwife’s place is on the threshold of life, where intense human emotions, fear, hope, longing, triumph, and incredible physical power, enable a new human being to emerge. Her vocation is unique.

Email me at melissa@songbirdmaternity.com (or in the form below) with a small paragraph on why you want to become a midwife and why you think this class series would be a good fit for you.

Classes are $200/month and include instruction and supplies only. Additional reading materials may be required for certain classes but we will let you know far in advance. Payment is due on the first class day of each month.

We require a commitment from you to attend all of the classes since this series is in high demand and we have limited space available. If you are not able to continue, you may be held accountable for payment and/or be required to find a student to fill your place.

And what can be more beautiful than bringing new life into the world?
